Natascha Maksimovic is an artist whose practice explores material, process and experimentation through a contemporary Suminagashi-inspired approach.

Working predominantly on paper, she creates site-responsive landscapes shaped by both control and surrender, exploring memory, transformation and the material presence of place.

Her current body of work, Remanence, extends traditional marbling through a contemporary lens; capturing traces that emerge through movement, chance and material interaction.

Alongside her studio practice, she collaborates with international brands and makers including John Smedley, Sebastian Cox, Maison Cacao Japan and Molton Brown.

Maksimovic is a recipient of the 2024 QEST Scholarship. Her work has been exhibited at Frieze No.9 Cork Street, Ruup & Form, Ruthin Craft Centre and featured in House & Garden, The World of Interiors and the Financial Times.
