remanence: westminster

A commission by Penhaligon’s

2026

the second exhibition from Penhaligon’s King’s Road London in collaboration with QEST.

Created for The Other Side of the Story,

Remanence: Westminster is a site-responsive body of work inspired by The Manoeuvres of the Baroness.

Developed through a journey around Westminster and the tidal edge of the Thames, the work draws on materials gathered directly from the landscape;

oak galls, botanicals, river earth, London brick, ceramic fragments and Thames water.

These materials are transformed into botanical inks and earth pigments,

‍ ‍

creating a palette rooted in the place.

The resulting landscapes emerge through water, air, pigment and gesture.
